A handful of Safety Net CEOs joined NAPH Executive Director Chris Burch for a radio media tour, sharing their perspectives on health care reform. Speaking to about a dozen radio outlets, safety net leaders emphasized the vital role of safety net hospitals and the need to protect Disproportionate Share Hospital payments, which help subsidize critical safety net services. Safety net leaders defined health care reform as “coverage for all” and “capacity to deliver high-quality patient care.”
