Join other members of America’s Essential Hospitals on Wednesday, Oct. 16, to hear the results of a three-year study, funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, on the Virginia Coordinated Care (VCC) Program. VCC is a 13-year-old Virginia Commonwealth University Health System (VCUHS) Medical Center program that aims to meet the medical needs of the uninsured.
Participants will learn about the enrollment patterns, primary care usage, and emergency department utilization of Central Virginia’s uninsured population. VCC leadership also will discuss the goals and barriers to the program from a primary care provider perspective.
