Parkland Health & Hospitals Corporation
Parkland Health & Hospital System first opened its doors in 1894 and is essential to the area’s emergency care, operating a Level I Trauma Center, burn centers and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Parkland is the teaching hospital for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and it includes 11 community-based clinics, 11 school-based clinics, and numerous outreach and education programs. Parkland has been ranked as one of the country’s top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report for the last 15 years.
