UMDNJ-The University Hospital—New Jersey’s health sciences university—is the largest institution of its kind in the nation. As the principle teaching hospital of New Jersey Medical School, The University Hospital is the center of referral for many of the state’s most advanced medical services and specialty care programs. From the busiest trauma center in New Jersey to one of the best liver transplant programs in the country and many other programs in-between, University Hospital serves thousands of patients each year. With five campuses and a network of more than 200 affiliated health care and educational partners spanning the state, UMDNJ is the single entity responsible for statewide medical and dental education, as well as other health professions. Specialty services offered through UMDNJ hospitals include trauma, liver disease, reproductive endocrinology, cancer treatment, neurology, neurosurgery and cardiology. The hospital also provides comprehensive primary care, dental treatment and state-of-the-art mental health services.
